Kākā are one of three large parrot species native to Aotearoa. These cheeky birds much like their infamous cousins the Kea are well known for their intelligence and mischievous antics and while Kea mainly spend their time in alpine and subalpine areas the Kākā are well adapted forest dwellers. Kākā are olive brown in colouration with red highlights making this Kōkopu perfect for their plumage

  • Made from a beautiful Pounamu from the Marsden pounamu fields on the West Coast of the South Island
