Kākā are one of three large parrot species native to Aotearoa. These cheeky birds much like their infamous cousins the Kea are well known for their intelligence and mischievous antics and while Kea mainly spend their time in alpine and subalpine areas the Kākā are well adapted forest dwellers. Kākā are olive brown in colouration with red highlights making this Kōkopu perfect for their plumage

  • Made from a beautiful Totoweka Pounamu from the Mohua/Golden Bay at the top of the South Island

  • Dimensions- 5.5cm long by 1.9cm at the widest point

  • Suspended on a adjustable plaited cord
