Basalt Manu

Unlike the Manu or birds that i normally make this piece isn’t based on any species in particular. It was an experiment or free form and as such it is just simply labelled “Manu” . This piece is constructed with Basalt, Jasper, Serpentine, Cow bone and epoxy, it should be taken off when entering hot water to preserve the integrity of the epoxy.

  • Made from a beautiful Basalt from Greenhills at the bottom of the South Island, Jasper and Serpentine for the eye and Cow bone for the beak

  • Dimensions-6cm long by 4.8cm at the widest point

  • Suspended on an adjustable 4 plait
