Gungnir Odins Spear

NZ$900.00

This contemporary spear is inspired by the transition from the late neolithic into the bronze age. In Scandinavia flint knapping continued into the bronze age due to a lack of natural resources needed to produce bronze. Consequently many skilled knappers began emulating the designs of this new technology in flint, one of my favorite pieces being the Hindsgavl dagger. Because of this i have decided to name this piece after Odins spear Gungnir, and have engraved it with Odins rune from the Elder Futhark.
